Contemporary green half-morocco with gilt spine, gilt upper fore-edge, marbled covers and endpapers Nice sumptuously illustrated catalogue with photos by G. Truckle in London (stamp), printed "for private circulation only". Shows 77 different paintings of portraits (some of groups, some with an animal, numbers 32 and 47 coming up twice, so 79 images altogether). The famous collection of Edward Joseph was later sold at Christie s to Woodroffe für 9300 guineas (small note tipped-in). - Binding somewhat rubbed biut still nice and decorative, inside clean, fine.
